Background

The Academy for Global Citizenship (AGC) is a public charter school on the Southwest Side of Chicago. Its innovative and holistic approach to education aims to foster systemic change and inspire the way society educates our future generations. Span designed a bold new identity for AGC in 2023 that reflects the innovation of its educational model. This new identity was used as the basis for this website.

Goal

A smooth digital experience that serves as an information hub for students, their families, faculty, and donors. Dual language support was critical in providing access to school calendars, parent portals, and important school news and information to bilingual students and guardians.

Process

I worked with stakeholders to determine the proper hierarchy of all site content, develop a sitemap and design three distinct creative directions in figma, collaborate with developers to ensure smooth hand-off of final design files, website quality assurance check before launch, and content entry.

Outcome

A live site, launched in 2024, that facilitates the enrollment process for prospective families, a centralized location of information for current students, and a place to tell AGC’s story to potential collaborators.
