Modern Motions 2024 Campaign

Span created a multi-platform campaign for the Chicago Repertory Ballet’s Modern Motions show, an annual review of modern dance works featuring world premieres by Chicago choreographers. A multiple-channel campaign employed the power of pink and consistent typographic illustration to attract audiences to the show, which resulted in strong ticket sales across all performances.

The typographic ”dance“ is inspired by Armin Hoffman’s play with repetition that he used throughout the international style, and adds kinetic movement to the punch of the pink duotone photograph of dancer Akilah Harris.
